The Local Kindness Licence
$100 for your first four weeks, then $25 per week. One partner per territory. This page explains what the licence includes, how it works, and what's expected of a partner.
What you receive
- Exclusive rights to operate Local Kindness services in your claimed territory.
- A territory website, automatically created and kept up to date as you add services and jobs.
- Access to the Local Kindness service catalogue — Bins, Delivery of Kindness, Dinner for Two, and more as they launch.
- Job intake, status tracking, and automatic worker allocation handled by the platform.
- An audit trail of every job and payment in your territory.
How it works
- Search for your suburb or postcode and select the exact locality.
- Claim it — enter your ABN.
- Secure it with $100 through Stripe — your site activates automatically the moment payment succeeds, no approval wait. That covers your first four weeks; it's $25/week after that.
- Set your local pricing for each service and start taking jobs.
Principles
- Kindness first — every job is a chance to help a neighbour.
- Reliability — a booked job gets done, on time.
- Fair, transparent pricing for customers and workers alike.
- One territory, one partner — no internal competition.
What we ask of a partner
- Keep the licence current — $100 for the first four weeks, then $25/week, arranged directly with Local Kindness.
- Respond to job requests promptly and keep job status up to date.
- Maintain the quality and reliability customers expect.
- Represent Local Kindness professionally in your territory.
- Follow the platform's pricing, safety, and service standards.
Rewards
- You set your local pricing and keep the earnings from every job, less your workers' share.
- First right of refusal on new services as they're added to the catalogue.
- Priority consideration for adjoining territories as Local Kindness expands.
Revenue split and cancellation
9 out of every $10 a customer pays goes to you, the Partner running the territory. Local Kindness keeps 1 in 10 to run and improve the platform.
No lock-in. Your licence has no minimum term — cancel it and walk away anytime. Your territory pauses immediately and becomes available for another partner to claim.
Your data and intellectual property as a partner
What you bring remains yours. Genuinely pre-existing material you bring to your territory — your own logo, original photos you took, or business content you created independently — stays your property. Adding it to your territory site gives Local Kindness the licence needed to host and display it as part of your site for as long as your territory is active.
What the platform generates belongs to Local Kindness. Customer relationships and contact records, bookings and order history, reviews, your territory's performance history, and your territory address (e.g. doubleview6018.localkindness.com.au) are Local Kindness platform business assets — not something a partner owns or can take with them.
While your licence is active, you have the access you need to run your territory and to use customer information to deliver and market Local Kindness services in it — always consistently with our Privacy Policy, never as unrestricted property. You must not export, scrape, sell, or otherwise use Local Kindness customer or platform data for any purpose outside operating your territory, and your access to it ends when your licence does. Full detail is in our Terms of Service.
This page describes the licence in plain terms — the Stripe checkout and our Terms of Service set the exact terms.
